Miss Patsy Spencer

grew up on a farm in Ohio and loves the outdoors. She graduated from Bob Jones University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, a teaching credential from Cal Poly, and a Masters from Liberty University.  She considers it a blessing to teach at Valley Christian Academy for so many years and to watch students come to know the Lord and go on to serve Him.  She says, "For the last few years, it has been fun to teach children from families that I taught their mom or dad many years earlier. Teaching first grade is so much fun because I love children and love the excitement they show in the simple things of life." She loves to teach reading and watch the students be able to read God's Word for themselves.  She enjoys gardening, walking, reading, photography, making cards, and being a twin (Mrs. Berry, third grade).

Mrs. Lauralei Fortier

is a VCA graduate and has been working in the ministry since her college graduation. She has a BS in Physical Education from Clearwater Christian College and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Cal Poly. While this is her fourth year teaching first grade, she has taught high school and preschool and worked several years in the Finance Office.  She and her husband have two children at VCA. She enjoys reading and exercising when not at the school.
